Abstract

In the article discusses the results of laboratory tests coal ash and slag mixture from the ash pound of Omsk’sTPP-4, working on the Ekibastuz coal.In the course of these studies identified the deformationproperties of this man-induced soil depending on the degree of compaction and moisture content. Suitability as a soil material for the construction embankments, subgrade of roads, and as the Foundation of buildings and structures was evaluated. The empirical dependence of the properties of ash and slag mixture from moisture and maximum dry density had been obtained in this research. Comparison of strength characteristics of ash and natural soil from our region also was carried out.
