Abstract

This article considers the problem of formation of deposits on the parts of internal combustion engines. Describes the main types of deposits in engines and reasons for their formation. The analysis of influence of oxidation of motor oils on the technical condition of internal combustion engines. The author offers a brief description of the program-methods of laboratory research of engine oils, including the evaluation of changes in properties of motor oils in contact with different concentrations of diesel fuels.
