Описано состояние рынка биометрических систем, проблемы биометрической аутентификации пользователей, связанные с конкретными биометрическими признаками, принцип действия, этапы процесса аутентификации пользователя, программно-аппаратная реализация устройства-считывателя описанной биометрической характеристики. Выявлены преимущества, отличительные особенности и сферы возможного применения технологии биометрической аутентификации по венозному рисунку кистей рук.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article considered biometric authentication system based on palm vein pattern recognition technology. The market of biometric systems, the problem of biometric authentication, and the principle of action steps in the process of user authentication, and hardware implementation of the reader device are described. It is shown that vein matching has some advantages over its analogues.
