Аварийность в городах и вне населенных пунктов имеет свои особенности, которые исследуются в различных работах. Однако изменение характеристик транспортного, пешеходного потока, структуры улично-дорожной среды отмечаются не сразу после пересечения границы города. Расчеты показывают, что именно в пригородной зоне отмечается наибольшая плотность ДТП, а также высокая доля аварийно-опасных участков. Также в последнее время отмечается усиление процесса субурбанизации, что приводит к увеличению пригородных зон. В связи с этим оценка влияния различных факторов на аварийность в границах пригородных территорий является актуальной научной задачей.</p><p>  Цель работы – исследование влияния факторов внешней среды на аварийность в пригородной зоне на примере г. Барнаула.</p></sec><sec><title>   Материалы и методы</title><p>   Материалы и методы. Исследование проведено на примере пригородной зоны г. Барнаула, границы которой установлены согласно транспортной методике. Эмпирической основой работы выступили данные о ДТП, зафиксированные на отрезках федеральных автомобильных дорог в границах пригородной зоны в период с 2018 по 2023 гг. Для каждого ДТП из выборки определен период суток и погодные условия (температура воздуха, количество осадков и скорость ветра). Для определения характера влияния выбранных факторов применена теория относительного риска.</p></sec><sec><title>   Выводы</title><p>   Выводы. В результате исследования выделены особенности аварийности в пригородной зоне в сравнении с загородными и городскими дорогами. Также выявлен характер влияния группы основных внешних факторов: периоды суток и погодные условия. Среди периодов суток представлены день, гражданские, навигационные, астрономические сумерки и ночь. В рамках погодных условий проанализированы температура воздуха, количество осадков и скорость ветра.</p><p>   Рамки исследования/возможность последующего использования результатов научной работы. Результаты исследования могут применяться при дальнейшем комплексном исследовании аварийности в пригородных зонах крупных городов.</p></sec><sec><title>   Практическое значение</title><p>   Практическое значение. Выявленные особенности аварийности и зависимости относительного риска возникновения ДТП в пригородной зоне от внешних факторов могут использоваться при проведении превентивных мероприятий на улично-дорожной сети, а также при развитии интеллектуальных транспортных систем.</p></sec><sec><title>   Оригинальность</title><p>   Оригинальность. Впервые определены зависимости относительного риска возникновения ДТП в пригородной зоне в результате действия группы основных факторов внешней среды (периода суток и погодных условий).</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>   Introduction</title><p>   Introduction. Accidents in cities and outside populated areas have their own characteristics, which have been studied in various works. However, changes in the characteristics of traffic, pedestrian flows, and those of the street and road environment structure usually are not observed on crossing the city boundaries. Calculations show that it is in the suburban zone that the highest accident density is estimated, as well as a high proportion of accident-hazardous areas. Besides, there has been an increase in the suburbanization process, which leads to the growth of suburban areas. In this regard, assessing the impact of various factors on accidents within the suburban boundaries is an urgent research task.</p><p>   The aim of the study is to investigate the influence of environmental factors on accidents in suburban areas (the city of Barnaul is observed as an example).</p></sec><sec><title>   Materials and methods</title><p>   Materials and methods. In this study the suburban zone of Barnaul was considered as an example, the boundaries of the zone being defined according to the transport methodology. The empirical basis of the work was data on accidents that were recorded for the sections of federal highways within the boundaries of the suburban zone in the period from 2018 to 2023. For each accident from the sample, the period of day and weather conditions (air temperature, precipitation rate and wind speed) were determined. The relative risk theory was used to assess the influence of the factors selected.</p></sec><sec><title>   Conclusions</title><p>   Conclusions. The study identified the distinctive features of accidents in suburban areas in comparison with those of suburban and urban road conditions. The influence of the group of key external factors was also assessed: periods of the day and weather conditions. Among the former, day, civil, navigational, astronomical twilight and night periods were distinguished.
