In this article questions of use of microwave heating of fuel for ensuring the accelerated and reliable launch of the diesel in the conditions of low temperatures of air are considered. The idea by the fact that the methods of simplification of launch of the diesel existing today in the conditions of low temperatures of air don’t meet modern requirements of conducting combat operations is proved. From our point of view, use of the microwave oven of heating of fuel and a thermal pipe for heating of engine oil will allow to provide reliable launch of the diesel in the conditions of low temperatures. On the basis of the conducted researches, the author suggests to use the microwave oven – heating of fuel to ensuring reliable launch of the engine in the conditions of low temperatures.
